The Renaissance was a cultural movement developed from the 15th to the 17th century. In started in Italy in the late Midle ages and later spread to the rest of Europe. Renaisence music is Europan music written during this period.It is usually divided into three periods: -Early Renaissance music ( 1400-1467) -Midle Renaissence music (1467-1534) -Late Renaissance music ( 1534-1600)

Texture, in music, describes the melodic and harmonic relationships and the density of the simultaneous different musical components.
SOLO: Only one voice or instrument DUET: A 2-part piece. TRIO: a 3-part piece. QUARTET: a 4-elementpiece UNISON: All voices or instruments playing the same notes. TUTTI: All instruments or voices playing at the same time DOUBLING: One part playing exactly the same notes as another. DESCANT: One part runs higher than the main melodies

| MONOPHONIC MUSIC: It is the simplest texture. There is no harmony and there is only one line of tune.

| HOMOPHONIC MUSIC : It is a texture where the lines of music move at ( more or less9 the same time.
