Dezső Lajos Alapfokú Művészetoktatási Intézmény is in Dömsöd which is a small village located about 50 kms from Budapest, the capital of Hungary. First of all we would like our students to try out their abilities, self-expressions, self-motivations and self-consciousness In a European context. We would like to strengthen the sense of self-awareness of themselves as members of their own community and as members of Europe, strengthen their European consciousness and their activity of taking decisions, realizing and protecting values and interests in the European Community. The main aim of this project is to open intercultural dialogue through arts and improve creativity of the students using unlimited forms of art. The partnership with variety of partners from different countries will allow students to use their artistic skills to show their own culture, traditions, school’s life and extend their knowledge about other countries. It will allow teachers to learn about education systems in different countries and how other schools organize their lessons in order to accomplish partnership’s tasks. Some of the art projects involved within partnership will expose cultural and historical heritage of local surroundings which will be promoted in all participating schools. Our aim is to encourage pupils’ self-consciousness, self-motivation and confidence in self-expression. Developing their competence and confidence of using ICT and developing their language skills also belong to our aims.
