Food at German schools
Our group worked on the topic food at german schools. At our school most of the students take their food from home to school, although there’re two other possibilities to buy food. At first there’s a supermarket outside our school, where the older students are allowed to go to. The second chance, to get something to eat, is our cafeteria, where you can buy several arts of bread and lunch, too. A special service surplices the food to our school and employees of the cafeteria worm up the food and then students, who have lessons in the afternoon, can eat their lunch at school. The food is not bad in general, but every student likes something else. Most students prefer eating bread or fruits, like apples or bananas, at school. Water and apple juice are the preferred drinks of german students. Some students like to go to the supermarket and to buy sweeties or something else.
All in all some students try to eat healthy and try not to eat too much sugar. But the rest sometimes wants to eat something they like to; otherwise it’s not too healthy. But we think that’s not too bad, if they don’t eat it everyday.

And here is who we are:
My name is Jana and I was born in Essen, but now I live in Mülheim.
I'm 17 years old and I have attended "Gymnasium Heißen" since 1999, so now I'm in class 11. My favourite subject there is German, because it isn't really difficult to learn. I n my free time I always like to go out with my friends or go horse-riding. I started horse-riding when I was 6 years old, but what I really don't like are little animals like spiders.
My name is Leonie, I’m 16 years old and I have come into contact with this project at school.
But first let me say a few things about myself.
I live with my parents and my 23-year- old brother.
I like Subway, George Michael, Christmas, going to the cinema and the old Walt-Disney movies.
And I don’t like…no I really hate (!!!) cheese and spiders.
Hello, my name is Nadine.
I'm a seventeen-year-old girl. I have lived in Essen since I was born.
I have a brother, his name is Marcel and he is twenty.
My hobbies are playing football, riding, dancing and the normal girlie things.
My favourite lessons are Sports, Art, Maths and English.
For my future my plan is to be a successful businesswoman.
