For 'Clean the world Day' our students cleaned up the local forest. They were supplied with gloves and blue bags for this occasion which they filled with all sorts of rubbish like cans, bottles and paper.

Also some of our students visited an outdoor exhibition of wood carvings created by university students. The wood is specially picked from forests. These trees have fallen during a storm or other reasons have been lying in the woods. This is their way of saving the wood and to give the message 'Protecting the Earth is protecting life on earth"

Also our younger pupils visited two farms. A goat farm where they tasted goat's milk and cheese. They also bought some toy animals made from hay.
The second one was an ostrich farm, and also they could buy lovely jewellery made from eggshell of the ostrich.
Also we plan in the Spring to plant a tree for each class in our school grounds.
We also saw how paper was recycled and made into serviettes and toilet paper at our local Finnish paper factory.
