C.P.I. 'O Cruce' is a school situated in Cerceda 30 km from A Coruña and 35 km from Santiago. Cerceda is a small town 6000 inhabitants people work in agriculture, Central power station and in a cool mine. There isn’t unemployment in Cerceda.
Our school is attended by 410 kindergarten, Primary and Secondary pupils. There are 38 teachers. We have also special needs students, there are a lot of different activities at school as you can see at :

English to the three years old: students start to learn English in kindergarten (three times a week, 15’) in 1st and 2nd level primary (three times a week 30’) students upper 3rd level primary school have three hours of English per week
European dimension: Our school has worked in two COMENIUS PROJECTS, at the moment works in a COMENIUS 1 and a COMENIUS 2.
COMENIUS 1: 'Together'
We work with schools from Austria and Italy , Germany and England about local, national and European identity we share the same tool (web- Magazine ) it makes possible to publish works made by students in real time. This year we work about our region doing a virtual trip and showing the best of our areas. Students exchange e-mails and at the end of the school year they’ll meet and will share activities for 10 days.
COMENIUS 2. 'IPM Tools'
The aims of the project are assisting the teachers adapting web-based learning and working environment and tools in teaching and learning. Our school coordinates another five schools in Galicia.
We train and support the teachers who collect the information on the experiences and example of practices concerning to the integration of web-based learning environment tools in different topics: e-learning materials, Local, National and European identtity
We have developed a lot of e-learning materials like webquest, plan lessons, monographs, newspapers on line ,...and many different resources together with other Galician and European schools .We won the European Label 2003 in Spain
