Marinus in Lapland

 Because you can't fly to Inari directly, you have to fly to Helsinki first. I decided to book my flights at Finnair. At the airport in Amsterdam I already met Christophe one of the other course members. When we arrived in Helsinki it was supprisingly hot! Almost 30 degrees! After checking in to my hotel we took some time to discover the City. Somehow we ended up at the opening of a new Club :) Day 2: We had to be at the Airport quite early because our plane to Ivala left at 10:45. There I met the rest of the group. At Ivalo we got on the bus to Inari. After checking in I spent the first afternoon in bed, catching up on some sleep. After our first dinner we went to the only local pub! on the way back we saw our first reindeers (see video below) |

Day 3: Monday the 13th of June.
Today was our first courseday. We started at 8:45 with an introdution in the Inari school.
THE EDUCATIONAL CENTER OF SAMI AREA
The Educational center of Sami Area was founded through legislation to maintain and develop Sami culture and nature-based occupations and to promote the production of educational material published in Sami. The Educational Center is owned by the state and has its domicile in the municipality of Inari. Education is provided in Finnish and in Sami. Than we started our firt hands on course, starting to get to know how to work with EJournals.
