|
This is a project bulletin with material and articles created in LETHE project by Finnish partner EUNEOS. There are 10 partners from 10 EU countries working together on emotional intelligence and importance of it in education. You can find more about the project on LETHE official site ______________________________________________________________________ Emotional Intelligence is a relatively recent behavioural model designed by Daniel Goleman in his book called 'Emotional Intelligence' in 1995. (Emotional Intelligence theory was originally developed during the 1970's and 80's by psychologists Howard Gardner, Peter Salovey and John Mayer). Emotional intelligence includes two aspects of intelligence:
- understanding yourself, your goals, intentions, responses, behaviour and all.
- understanding others, and their feelings.
Goleman identified the five 'domains' of EQ as:
- Knowing your emotions.
- Managing your own emotions.
- Motivating yourself.
- Recognising and understanding other people's emotions.
- Managing relationships, ie., managing the emotions of others.
______________________________________________________________________ LETHE project aims to
