Uuno Turhapuro

One could say that Uuno Turhapuro (Vesa-Matti Loiri) is almost a Finnish national hero. Spede Pasanen created a character called Uuno Turhapuro, a man who doesn't work, has terrible looks but still has a great success among women. Uuno needs a lot of food to survive and he also sleeps a lot. He's trying to invent an easy way to make money. Uuno Turhapuro is married to Elisabet (Marjatta Raita) whose father, Tuura (Tapio Hämäläinen), is a rich man. Uuno's target is to get Tuura's property. Tuura knows that and he doesn't like Uuno at all whereas Tuura's wife (Marita Nordberg) likes Uuno.

Uuno's friends are Härski Hartikainen (Spede Pasanen) and Sörsselssön (Simo Salminen).
The typical plot in Uuno Turhapuro movies goes like this. Elisabet threatens to divorce Uuno but they normally end up living happily ever after. Uuno usually gets a great job such as a boss or something or a lot of money but can never play his cards right. Luckily there is Tuura who pays everything. Tuura is always that person who suffers from Uuno's doings.
Actually, we don't like Uuno Turhapuro but because he has a great place in the Finnish movie history we decided to write about him.
