Bourgoin-Jailleu is a city of 25000 inhabitants. You can find some firms and a lot of shops. It is a quite quiet town, with many activities, sports clubs, association... Our rugby team is one of the most famous and best team of France: They are in the "Top 16" and actually play the European Cup of Rugby. As we said, you ca n find a lot of sports in Bourgoin, like a tennis club, a football club, a rugby club, a dance club, swimming club, volley club, handball club... There are aslo many students in Bourgoin-Jailleu in four secondary schools, two technical schools and two high school. Our high school is L'Oiselet, where around 1700 pupils study five days over seven.(Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday)

Even if Borgoin Jailleu is a small town, it's not very far from Lyon , the second city of France, and Grenoble, which is the first student city of France, so when you need something which isn't here, you can take the train or the car and go to Lyon or Grenoble to find easily what you want.

Many people live also near Bourgoin, in the country, that's why you can find a lot of small villages around Bourgoin-Jallieu. It is a very quit and peaceful region where we love living!
