Usually after the hot and dry summers in June the moisture laden winds coming from the Arabian sea come and dash against the Western Ghats and condense to give rainfall. So usually it is orographic rainfall. It starts in the late June to the start of September .We do have sometimes drizzle at the end of this month. Once in a blue moon we do have hail storm in the middle of the season, but usually rain is the main form of precipitation.

These are our very own St.Peters boys playing football v/s the ex-students of St.Peters school recently.
The main event in each school at this time is football. Every boy or girl is seen playing football, let it be raining or not raining we like to play in the muck. When we finish our games everyone is covered with mud from head to toe. Especially the goalkeeper as he has to dive for the ball.
The temperature range during this season is maintained at about 16o C to 27o C. Sometimes it even reaches 30oC. The humidity is maintained at about 90%. The rainfall average from June to September in 24 hrs for 2007 is 69mm and annually it is 1521mm
