Pohjankartano junior high school is in Oulu, which is a small city in the middle of Finland. Here are about 500 students. This is the biggest junior high school in Oulu. Half of students are in music-classes and the other half are in ordinary classes. Here are about 50 teachers.
Hall This is the hall of our school. It's quite big and almost all students spend their breaks in there. Our school has three floors. There is one elevator but students are not allowed to use it.
Festival hall This is our festival hall. Nearly all of the dramas are played here. There are about 500 seats so every junior high pupil has a place to sit. Also some other people from outside our school use our festival hall, Citydance for example.
Lockers These are our school's lockers. Every student has their own locker. The lockers are pretty dull and they are all grey.
Café This is our school café. You can buy there candy, baked rolls, cakes, lemonade, coffee, chocolate, sandwiches and even youghurts.
The corridor This is the corridor on the second floor. The students in high school have their lessons there.
Teachers room There the teachers drink too much coffee and eat too much baked rolls. There teachers chat during the breaks. Teachers have also a meeting room.
Computer class. This is one of two our schools computer classes. Here we do team projects. These people who are at the computers are in our English advanced group.
Lunch Room This is our school lunch room. We get a free lunch every day, but it's not always good. Our school lunch contains a warm main course, salad, bread and milk or water. Sometimes, about once a week, we have dessert. Dessert is usually curd or dessert cream, but about twice a year we have ice cream. Usually it's full of people. The lunch break lasts half an hour.
Our school front in the evening This is our (lovely and depressing) school. It`s the time of the sunset and the view is beautiful.
Our school front This is our school front in the afternoon (about three o'clock). We have also a library next to our school, and in same building there is also a senior secondary school and Oulu institute. Oulu institute is a place for adults where they can study different subjects in the evenings. They offer a wide range of subjects, for instance hadicraft, computer studies and foreign languages.
