The number of fast food restaurants has significantly increased over the last 20 years. However, this fact has also led to a higher number of overweight people in our country, making it a big health problem, especially among children.

Some people think that fast food allows them to save time in their lives as you can have your meal ready in less than 5 minutes. In addition, the existence of many restarurants of this type lets many people work, which is important in this time and day.

On the other hand, these restaurants usually serve poor quality food that probably has not passed any quality controls. Moreover, this food is especially popular among children because they often receive a gift. Therefore, overweight has dramatically increased in children, causing a grater number of heart diseases when they are older.

To sum up, I think that more severe quality controls are needed in order to ensure the quality of the food served in these restaurants. Furthermore, it is also necessary to promote sport and  a healthy diet among the population to minimize future problems in our health.
