A CORUÑA
I live in A Coruña, which is a city on the coast in the north-west of Spain. This city is nicknamed "The city where nobody is a stranger",I think this is because here, people are very friendly. But A Coruña is called too "The city of the wind", because it´s a very windy place.
Although the weather is mild, sometimes there are "four seasons in one day".
A Coruña seems an island, but, in fact, it´s a peninsula with a narrow isthmus, o the city is surrounded by the sea almost everywhere. Its promenade is the longest all over the world, thirteen kilometres long. And you can walk round it and see every day spectacular sunsets and coloured skies. In the promenade there is a very famous building,"The tower of Hercules", which is the oldest still working lighthouse in the world.
There are lots of interesting places to visit in A Coruña,as the historical town centre, churches, museums, port, beaches, markets, green spaces...There are also many bars and restaurants, where to eat seafood and typical Galician dishes and "tapas".
A Coruña isn´t a very big city, but it is a quiet and safe place to live. However, the best thing about it for me is the sea: imagine living in a place where you can always look at the sea.
