Modern Times
When the teacher told us that we could write an article in the school magazine, I thought at the first “it isn’t for me”. On  my way home one question came to my mind. Why not? But there was another problem. What subject was I going to write about? During the day, I was trying to find the topic. Finally I found it:  personal relationships in modern times. You would ask me why I have chosen this topic. Well, perhaps because I consider it an important thing.

I have never written an article in a magazine but I think I’m  capable of doing it.

You will agree with me that personal relationships are more and more difficult. I’m a person that enjoys speaking with a friend, or more friends although I am a very insecure person.  I’m
not talking about me, because I don’t intend  to do one boring description of myself

Old people usually say that they were happier in the past. I don’t know the opinion in other countries. I’m fed up with  people talking about the consumer society.

We must think that this consumer society doesn’t work. People want more and more things such as journeys, TV, videos, mobiles, cars and so on but when they have all those things they get bored and want another car, TV, mobile…

One day, when I was going for a walk, I saw a graffiti that described what I had said before:  “consumo ergo sum”. For the people who don’t understand Latin, I will translate,  “I consume, therefore I am.
