ANONYMOUS HEROES

According to the dictionary a hero is a person possessing heroic qualities who has performed  heroic deeds. For a lot of young people, their heroes are singers, actors, sportsmen and sportswomen, also known as idols.

In my opinion, the world is full of anonymous heroes, people who give their help to other underprivileged  people. However, heroic people are living around us too. I´m thinking about those parents that day after day are fighting for the sustenance of their children. While a minority have a luxurious lifestyle, most people suffer difficulties to cover basic necessities like food, clothes, footwear, phone bills, electricity bills, etc.

Sometimes, when I go to do the shopping, I wonder how mothers do in order to give their children food  in the morning, at lunchtime and at night. I think they do miracles, or heroic deeds.

Without a doubt, we´re living in times of economic crisis, and the best economist, the best accountant  is each mother that every day fills the shopping  bag despite the high prices, the unemployment, etc.

In conclusion, it´s true that some  important  people do important  things to help others, although that is nice, they have economic  help, so in my opinion humble people who perform  heroic deeds deserve to be known as heroes or heroines, for instance, housewives.
