The Center for Advanced English Language Training for International Collaboration was created on February 6, 2007. It is the result of Vlir-UOS (Vlaamse Interuniversitaire Road-University Development Cooperation) programme with UCLV (Universidad Central de Las Villas) to Build the capacity of the University members, specially of the UCLV -IUOS/ UCLV university management, staff, and PhD students to communicate in English for Academic and Special Purposes (EAP and ESP) for international collaboration.
