Quick tutorial for eJournal use

Please try to follow the steps given below to create accounts / publish articles. Click on the image to see it in a bigger size.

1. How do I log in?
|
To login Click on the login option of eJournal home page, and then give your login id and the password.
|
|
2. How do I change the password of my account?
|
To change the password, CLICK ON MAIN MENU [right hand side] then My personal settings and then edit the contents and click on SAVE [ save at the end of each session, there are two save options, click on both]

3. Who is a Trusted Editor? Why do I need him?
|
|
This is information in advance. Take this into notion when you read about creating new users in eJournal later. TRUSTED EDITOR: It is advisable to make students Trusted editors who can publish articles on the Internet on their own. A trusted editor can only see his own articles but no articles of others, if they are not shared to him (Intranet).

4. Who is Editor?
|
|
A pupil with the lowest rights. He needs to ask the chief editor TO PUBLISH his articles. Also a user with editor rights can see the contents of media library and upload files into it.

5. How do I create login IDs for my students?
|
After you login, go to MAIN MENU [left hand side] and then CLICK ON MY COLLEAGUES, then at the right hand side you get an option CREATE NEW USER. Click on this to create a new login id for students or teacher.

Fill in the first field USER NAME: This is the desired user id. If you are making an account for John Brown, you may preferably fill in : john. Then next line is optional [full name of the student only in case of adults who give permit] and then go to the last two lines and give the password same as USERNAME john / john [students can change it on their own later] Click on SAVE. If you are making a Trusted editor then there is an option in the same page, there from EDITOR / changethe option to TRUSTED EDITOR. Click on SAVE Same to create an account for CHIEF EDITOR. A chief editor can any time change the PASSWORD of any other members of eJournal by going to MAIN MENU / MY COLLEAGUES / then click on EDIT of any user, to change the settings.
