The prohibition of having barbecues and smoking in the mountain has just finished.

            The prohibition of having barbecues and smoking in the mountain  finished at the beginning of November.

             Last 22nd July a decree was passed in order  to take measures to prevent fires in the forest after the fire of Guadalajara in  which eleven people died and some thousand hectares of mountain got burnt. According to reports,  ninety per cent of  fires are deliberate.

So the government forbade lighting fires in open spaces, even burning stubble  or making barbecues in the rest areas by the roads were forbidden. On the other hand, a special permission was needed to use machinery in the forests and in highly risky areas even human presence was forbidden. Economical sanctions were announced.

The law was to be into effect until 1st. November.
